Book The Shore Thing Direct — No Airbnb, No Middleman

Same Gulf Shores condo. Same owner. No platform service fee tacked on at checkout. You text me, we sort out dates, done.

What does skipping Airbnb actually save you?

Airbnb's guest service fee runs roughly 14–16 % on top of the nightly rate. On a seven-night stay at, say, $175 a night that's somewhere in the $170–$200 range just to use their checkout flow. Book direct and you pay the nightly rate plus the cleaning fee—full stop. No platform markup, no surprise line items the morning you were going to hit "confirm."

That math is the same whether you find me through Google, a friend's recommendation, or because you were already annoyed at a fee screen somewhere else.

Who actually picks up when something goes sideways?

Me—the owner, not a property-management company with a ticket queue. I'm the person who bought the condo, chose the mattresses, and will answer a text at 9 p.m. if the TV remote has gone AWOL. There's no layer of "we'll have someone reach out within 24 hours" between you and a real answer.

That said, I'm not hovering. You won't hear from me unless you want to.

What's in the condo and who does it sleep?

The Shore Thing sleeps six guests comfortably. It's a Gulf Shores beachside condo with everything you need for a week without making grocery runs for the basics. Full kitchen, washer/dryer in the unit, beach gear on-site.

For the full breakdown of rooms, beds, and what's stocked, see the condo detail page. No surprises.

How does the booking actually work?

It's not complicated. Here's the typical flow:

  1. You reach out with your dates and how many people.
  2. I confirm availability and send a quote (nightly rate + cleaning fee—that's it).
  3. We handle payment directly—no platform account required, no 47-step checkout.
  4. You get the door code and parking info before you leave home.

If you want to check the calendar before messaging me, the availability page is always current.

What should you know before reaching out?

Ready to check whether your dates are open?

Fastest way is a text or email. I check both and I'm not running a call center, so you'll hear from a human pretty quickly.
